I think my biggest fear when I’m traveling is to not “get it”. To travel all over the world, looking for the next tourist attraction, without really understanding what it’s all about.
Sure, many historical places are in danger now of being mere tourist attractions, but that’s exactly my point!
With so many events going on in the British capital, from the Queen’s Jubilee to the Olympics and the many festivals that go with them, it’s essential to learn about getting around London this summer.
And it’s not just those two major events, it’s the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth, the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and even the New Harry Potter Studio Tour!
Last time we covered the first five of the best archeological sites in Rome, including the Ara Pacis monument, the Domus Aurea of Nero, the Vatican Necropolis, the Castel Sant’Angelo and the Forum Boarium.
Today we finish our countdown with some jaw-dropping, eye popping sights. To step on the very earth that ancient Emperors stepped on and to walk the paths of (maybe) our ancestors, today is just fascinating!
So much comes to mind when I think about the Eternal City and archaeological sites in Rome is one of the first and most important ones as with any cultural travel.
Has it ever happened to you that you visit a place for the first time and you fall completely in love with it?
That was exactly my experience in Rome. Art, architecture, history, archaeology, anthropology, culture, beauty… they all describe Rome and they are the best in cultural travel.
We have seen that even though some of these travel fears may be justified, none of them is scary enough to let it come between you and your dreams.
