I had never heard about Armistice Day (also known as Remembrance Day) until very recently when my old time friend Isadora came back from Cambridge UK, where she lived for a year and brought me a poppy flower as a souvenir from England.
Except this was no ordinary souvenir, when she started telling me the story behind it, it actually had a lot of meaning.
Does everybody have a getting-robbed-while-on-vacation story?
So we’d had a wonderful lunch next to La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and had taken the metro to the Block of Discord, to visit Casa Milá (La Pedrera) when… Wait a minute… where’s my wallet ?
New York is a fantastic city, the capital of the world, the center of the universe, right?
But it can also be overwhelming when you start to think about the thousands of things you can see and do there.
And sometimes you don’t have a lot of time for your vacation so you start to ponder whether it’ll be possible to get a sense of the city, how it’s laid out, how big it is and what its best attractions are.
In other words, how to avoid getting a fragmented impression of a city instead of a more holistic, 30.000 feet view (or as close to is as possible).
The Holocaust is not to be forgotten. I firmly believe that our ignorance is the cause of most of humanity’s problems.
It is precisely ignorance the reason why I encourage people to travel and see the world for themselves, shed the light of knowledge on the darkness of unawareness.
Mankind needs to learn the lessons of the past in order to ensure a brighter future and The Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. aims to let the world know about one of the most horrifying genocides in history, so that we won’t allow it to happen ever again.
Packing is so easy! Of course, that’s until I rely on my brain to remember what to pack and my brain replies with “yeah, right!”.

In very much a GTD style, I am of the idea that I need to relieve my brain of any excess information, so that it can focus on what’s most important: Enjoying my trip with cero stress.
